A Netflix confirmou que está desenvolvendo uma nova série animada baseada em Minecraft. O primeiro teaser da produção será exibido em 12 de junho durante o Festival Internacional de Animação de Annecy, que neste ano acontecerá na França.

O anúncio vem logo após o sucesso inesperado de Minecraft: O Filme, lançado em 4 de abril. A produção arrecadou mais de US$ 550 milhões, tornando-se a adaptação de videogame mais lucrativa da história.

The upcoming series promises to present an original narrative set within the Minecraft universe. WildBrain, the studio behind Sonic Prime and Ninjago: Dragons Rising, is leading production. Initial teaser trailers were released in 2024, hinting at a vibrant and imaginative take on the iconic blocky world.

Minecraft, first launched in 2011, is a sandbox video game where players explore and build in procedurally generated environments. It's available on PC (Windows, macOS, Linux), consoles (Xbox One, Series X/S, PlayStation 3–5), and mobile platforms (iOS, Android).
