The League of Legends Development League is a new professional competition launched in China in 2018. The tournament aims to promote the stable and healthy development of the League of Legends professional e-sports ecosystem. The main focus of LDL is to train new players and to continue to provide high-quality players to prepare and pave the way for LPL, forming a two-level professional tournament system with League of Legends Pro League.

Tournament Format

Group Stages 1-3 will split into two groups and each group will consist of ten teams and all matches are played in the best-of-three series.

Playoffs will be played in the category of double-elimination format, and all matches are played in the best-of-five series.
