In July 2024, several significant changes were made to the Rocket League meta, affecting player strategy and tactics:

- Changes to the Ranked System: Now, a minimum level of 20 is required to participate in ranked matches (previously it was 10). This change aims to ensure that players acclimate to the game before moving on to competitive modes.

- Popularization of New Mechanics:
In 2024, new mechanics have entered the game’s meta, which players have actively started using. Among them:
1. Aerial Dribbling: Enhanced ball control in the air, allowing for more precise and effective ball handling.
2. Fake Shots: Deceptive play where players pretend to hit the ball, but at the last moment change direction or power.
3. Quick Passes: Fast and accurate passing to a teammate, improving team play and increasing scoring opportunities.

- Updates to Visual and Audio Effects:
Salty Shores Map Update: Visual changes include the addition of podiums and a skate park, replacing the previous seaside view, making the map more dynamic and interesting.
Audio Changes: Improved audio clarity for supersonic collisions, allowing players to better understand who was demolished in the collision.

- New Limited-Time Modes (LTM): New temporary modes such as Eggstra Special Mode, G-Force Frenzy, and Gridiron have been added, along with the return of popular modes like Beach Ball, Boomer Ball, Demolition, Dropshot Rumble, Moonball, Pinball, Speed Demon, Spike Rush, and Super Cube. These modes offer new unique gameplay conditions and challenges.

These changes are aimed at improving match quality, diversifying gameplay, and providing new strategic opportunities for players.
