In July 2024, World of Warcraft introduced several significant updates to the character progression system with the release of the "The War Within" expansion. Here are the main changes:

Warbands System:
Warbands is a new progression system that spans the entire account. It allows sharing progression between all characters on your account, regardless of faction or server.
Features: Includes a shared bank, shared reputation and achievement progress, shared flight paths, and transmog appearances. This system makes playing alts easier by removing the need to repeat the same tasks for each character.

Delves:
Delves are a new form of solo content where players can earn raid-level rewards by exploring dungeons alongside Brann Bronzebeard. This system provides players the opportunity to explore unique areas and obtain powerful items solo.

Hero Talents:
New talents have been introduced that become available at level 71. These talents add a new layer of character customization, allowing players to create unique builds based on their play style.

These updates are aimed at enhancing the gameplay experience, making playing alts easier, and providing new opportunities for exploring and developing your heroes.
