Subathons are a great way for big streamers to increase their following, but also an opportunity to do something good. The famous virtual streamer Ironmouse uses this format to gather money for charity - half of the money earned during the subathon is donated to the Immune Deficiency Foundation.

While the usual format means that one subscription prolongs the subathon for ten seconds, sometimes it may go too far. Ironmouse streamed for thirty days and during that time she managed to overcome Kai Cenat as the Twitch streamer with the most number of active subscribers, breaking an all-time platform record of 306,621 subs.

At the time of this writing, Ironmouse continues streaming, and there are more than 313,000 active subs. The peak number will be known after the subathon ends.

Ironmouse started streaming in 2017 and has been one of Twitch's faces for several years. Unfortunately, she has common variable immunodeficiency (CVID), which she keeps fighting. Her streams are also a platform to raise awareness and help others since the treatment is expensive. Today's achievement is truly remarkable, so Ironmouse and her Precious Family (what she calls her community) have a great reason to celebrate!
