Popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat drew significant attention in the gaming industry in the spring when he hosted a marathon of Elden Ring despite not being a fan of soulslike games. Since then, he has also completed the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion and has begun playing the next game from FromSoftware's catalog.

Before starting his Bloodborne marathon, Kai Cenat mentioned that he chose the game partly to draw additional attention to the potential for a remaster.

The streamer doesn't believe that Sony and FromSoftware will immediately begin working on a remaster following his request, but he urged the companies to consider it. Kai Cenat also thinks that the studios have been closely watching his marathons, which is why he decided to make an appeal to them.

After his appeal, Kai Cenat did indeed conduct a Bloodborne marathon, defeating all of the game's main bosses in 30 hours and 153 deaths. However, he did not start the Bloodborne DLC, as the schedule has been too tight recently. The next game in line will be Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

In June, Hidetaka Miyazaki stated that he would not be opposed to seeing a Bloodborne remaster, but the decision depends not only on the developer.
