The Esports Championship Series, Season 5 is about to begin and is one of the biggest events of this year.
The tournament will start with open qualifiers for both North America and Europe, and the top qualifiers will advance to the ECS Season 4 Development League. The Development teams will face the two lowest ranked teams from the previous ECS season.


Tournament Format

Group stage:  Round-Robin League format

All teams play each other in 2 consecutive best-of-one matches
The top four teams advance to the Season 5 Finals.
The bottom two teams are relegated to the Season 6 Challenger Cup, while the other teams continue directly to Season 6.
