The League of Legends Japan League is the premier tournament of Japan and this is the second season of 2018, the league will feature 6 teams as they compete for the Japanese World Championship Play-in seed.

The teams competing in the league is the 4 top teams of the previous season as well as the two teams that wins their promotion series in the Promotion tournament.

Two best-of-five matches, the winner of each match will qualify for the regular season.

The highest seed of 2018 LJL Spring chooses their opponents out of the two challenger teams.

Regular season

Double round robin with best-of-three matches.

Top 3 moves on to playoffs aswell as qualifying for 2019 LJL Spring

4th place qualifies for 2019 LJL Spring.

Bottom two will go to 2019 LJL Spring promotion tournament to defend their spot.

Playoffs

Best-of-five matches with the winner of the regular season waiting in the finals.

The winner will be playing in the League of Legends World Championship
