Rift Rivals is an international tournament that is split up into different tournaments. The Rift Rivals is a response for the community's want for more international events yet its not as grandiose and taxing on the players as MSI and Worlds since it is only close by regions that will be competing among each other.

This is the LCK vs LPL vs LMS vs VCS Rift Rival this year VCS is recognized as one of the major regions of Asia. 

The tournament is played in Seoul, South Korea and will kick off on the 4th of July and will feature the top four teams from the LPL, LCK, LMS, and VCS

Tournament Format

Alongside the main event, there will be Showmatches being played.

Group Stage

All matches are best-of-one.

All the teams that have the same spring split seed will be playing each other.

Playoffs

Best-of-five relay race.

The regions that are placed 2nd and 3rd play each other, the winner moves on to meet the 1st seed from the group stage.
