League of Legends Development league is the new professional competition system developed by Riot games and introduced in 2018. The goal is to promote the healthy development of LoL esports, focusing on newcomers’ training under the leadership of experienced players from LPL. This year it features 24 participating teams from China. The price pool was 124,000 US dollars. The organizer was Tencent games with the sponsorship of Thunder Talk AutoFull. The event was live from February 13 to March 19. The format was a group stage featuring a Double Round-Robin bracket. The winner of the event was Bilibili Gaming Junior, who took home 77,500 USD from the prize cash, defeating Ultra Prime Academy in the Grand Final. 

Tournament Format

Group Stage will be played in a Double Round-robin within a group, The First round-robin will be a best-of-one series and the Second round-robin will be a best-of-three series.
