There's only a little time left before the Fantastic Four fully reunite in one of this winter’s most popular games. The Thing and The Human Torch will be joining Marvel Rivals next Friday when the next big update will go live.

In 10 days, a checkpoint in ranked will be hit. Players who participated in ranked matches will receive rewards, with those at Gold rank and above unlocking exclusive skins. Meanwhile, skilled players with Grandmaster rank or higher will earn a special Crest of Honor.

There are some bad news, however, as the ranks will be partially reset—each player will lose four divisions, a decision that hasn’t been well received by some. The reason is simple: people don’t want to lose progress midway through a season. Not everyone enjoys grinding ranked mode, and this reset might discourage more casual players from participating.

On the bright side, the developers have stated that they are open to adjustments in the future. If feedback is overwhelmingly negative, there’s a chance they might revise this approach.
