The battle among gacha games continues with surprising financial results from April 2025. Fans and analysts alike are closely following the shifting dynamics within the genre, especially after the latest numbers from SensorTower revealed major changes in revenue trends for some of the most popular titles.

At the forefront of this month’s rankings is Honkai Star Rail , which saw a dramatic surge in earnings. The game generated $102 million in April, a massive increase compared to the $29.9 million it earned in March. This impressive growth aligns with the game's second-anniversary celebrations, drawing both returning players and newcomers into its universe and significantly boosting its income.

Meanwhile, its sister title Genshin Impact experienced a notable drop in revenue, earning $22.7 million during the same period — well below the $39.9 million it made in March. Despite remaining a beloved open-world RPG with strong gacha elements, its position slipped to sixth place in the rankings.

Another miHoYo title, Zenless Zone Zero, showed signs of steady growth, rising to seventh place with $21.7 million in April, up from $15.9 million the previous month.

Outside the miHoYo family, Love and Deepspace, often categorized as a “female-oriented gacha” game, claimed the second spot with an impressive $65.6 million in mobile revenue. Rounding out the top three was Pokémon TCG Pocket, generating $61 million and proving the enduring appeal of the Pokémon brand in digital collectibles.
