All details of the Marvel Rivals Season 2 update were recently revealed, and there’s a lot to digest and think about.

The headline? Emma Frost! She’s bringing along two new skins. Besides the heroine that quickly took over the fanbase, there is a brand-new map. Hellfire Gala: Krakoa enters the game — yep, it’s the living mutant island from the comics. Krakoa is replacing Yggsgard: Royal Palace and Tokyo 2099: Shin-Shibuya in Ranked, though both of those are not completely vanished from the game.

Season 2 is also kicking off with a fresh Battle Pass. Ten new skins are on the line, plus graffiti, victory poses, and other stuff - you know the drill. The Cerebro Database event comes with a free skin for Mantis, and a seasonal quest will let you unlock a skin for Scarlet Witch — all you have to do is finish nine matches.

Weekly challenges are also getting some tweaks. Devs are adding new ones while reducing how many are tied to specific characters, making it easier to earn tokens and level up your Battle Pass.

Ranked mode is seeing some big changes too. All players will be soft reset down by 9 ranks, and reaching Gold tier now earns you an exclusive Emma Frost skin. You will need now account of at least Level 15, and the ranking system will better factor in individual performance when awarding points.

One more cool addition: the gift system. You’ll now be able to send cosmetic items to your friends. And as usual, expect a bunch of balance updates and bug fixes across the board. You can check the full changelog on the game’s official website.
