Once dismissed as an impossibility, the prospect of Marvel Rivals arriving on Nintendo Switch 2 now seems far more tangible. While NetEase previously ruled out a release for the original Switch, citing technical constraints, the upcoming successor could change the game—literally.

At the DICE Summit, producer Weikang Wu revealed that discussions with Nintendo are actively taking place. The major roadblock? Ensuring smooth and consistent performance on the new hardware:

"The first-generation Switch simply didn’t have the power to deliver the gameplay experience we envisioned. But if the Switch 2 can handle it, we’re absolutely ready to bring the game to the platform."

With the Nintendo Switch 2 officially announced, industry titans are already rallying behind the platform. Phil Spencer has hinted at Xbox’s willingness to bring its catalog to the system, and Electronic Arts (EA) has also voiced its support.

Meanwhile, Marvel Rivals is poised for further expansion, with two members of the Fantastic Four expected to shake up the battlefield in upcoming updates.
