This week, the developers of InZOI are taking a break to celebrate the New Year (a three-day holiday in South Korea). Before heading off, the project lead, Hyungjun "Kjun" Kim, shared insights into the features fans are requesting for the game, which of these will be implemented, and to what extent.

  • In InZOI, players will be able to use real facial capture to create templates for crafting zois. While summer announcements already highlighted this feature as highly convenient, Kjun emphasized that the goal is to simplify the process of creating zois even further.
  • Players will also be able to have their own pets in the game, though this feature will not be available during early access. Fans will need to wait a bit longer. Interestingly, Kjun himself is a big animal lover.
  • The game will feature tall buildings, capped at 30 floors. While the game engine theoretically supports higher constructions, this limitation addresses potential performance issues.
  • There will also be gas stations and fights. Kjun noted that the slap mechanic from early previews felt too shallow to players, so he listened to the feedback. Now, the game will feature full-fledged fights, complete with winners and losers.
  • Lastly, InZOI will include a tutorial, as the developers anticipate many newcomers unfamiliar with the genre will try the game. This level of consideration certainly deserves praise.

As of now, Krafton is still planning to release InZOI in early access at the end of March, and no further delays are currently expected.
