Just one day after the release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, fans have already created over 100 mods to enhance and personalize the game experience. Despite the lack of official modding tools, the community wasted no time diving in.
Image: steamcommunity.comReleased on April 22, the remaster doesn't support modifications natively, yet that hasn't stopped passionate modders. Most of the new mods were uploaded to Nexus Mods, and they address a wide range of features. Some skip introductory scenes, while others refine the user interface, enhance color grading, or fix bugs and audio issues.
There are also gameplay-enhancing mods that remove item degradation or lift inventory weight limits. Unsurprisingly, these convenience mods are among the most downloaded so far, alongside technical patches that improve stability.
Interestingly, fans have already dissected the remaster’s structure and discovered that it’s compatible with tools used for the original game. This technical overlap explains the rapid pace at which new mods have appeared since launch.
In just 24 hours, the modding scene for Oblivion Remastered has exploded, reaffirming the enduring dedication of the fan community and its ability to breathe new life into beloved classics.
