You’ve created your character, moved in, started playing—and suddenly realized something about the look doesn’t sit right? Time to find a mirror.
Here’s how to switch up hairstyle, makeup, and outfit in inZOI anytime.
How to Change Appearance in inZOI

You’ll need a mirror—it's available in every default house. You can also place one via the build mode by purchasing it. If you prefer a more winding road or don’t have enough funds, head to a public lot—you'll definitely find one in the bathrooms.
Approach the mirror and click on it—an action menu will pop up, allowing you to enter the familiar character editor. Here you can adjust only the following:
👸 hairstyle: color, length, styling;
💄 makeup: eyeshadow, lipstick, blush and more;
💃 outfit;
🧣 accessories.
Once you're happy with the changes, hit the "Save" button—otherwise, everything will revert to the previous look when you return to the game.
What You Can’t Change in the inZOI Appearance Editor

As mentioned earlier, not everything is editable after the game starts. Here’s what can’t be altered:
🔸 gender: your Zoi will keep the gender they were created with
🔸 relationship preferences: these are set once and stay that way
🔸 facial features: like nose shape, eye slant, and face contour
🔸 body type: if your Zoi started out slim or athletic, the figure can’t be changed later
🔸 age: sadly, you can’t turn back time
🔸 name and surname: you know what they say, "You made your bed, now lie in it"
🔸 personality: the traits that shape how your Zoi behaves

These settings are chosen once and currently can't be updated. Maybe future updates will introduce new mechanics or tools that change that. But for now, if you want to completely redesign a Zoi, you’ll need to make a new one.
Why Change a Zoi’s Look After Creation
Sometimes you just want to refresh the style, match a new mood, or take on a different role. After a few fun hours, you might start seeing your Zoi in a whole new light and feel like stepping up the roleplay.
Thankfully, the game lets you rebuild your Zoi’s vibe from scratch—makeup, hair, clothes, and accessories. Add some bright color to the hair, throw on a cap or glasses, switch outfits, refine the style. No need to create a new save, use cheats, or install mods. So far, the game doesn’t offer full rebuild options, but those features may arrive in future updates.
