The lead developers of the upcoming life simulation game answered some fan questions. Incredibly, when asked about the presence of sexual intercourse, the assistant director managed to give such a vague answer (without using the word "sex") that none of the players really understood anything.
In general, it all boiled down to something like this: the process sort of happens, and if a male ZOI and a female ZOI, for example, retreat to bed together, it’s obvious they intend to create children—but how visually obvious this is depends on the player’s imagination.
Perhaps that’s exactly what’s happening, but not at the level everyone expected.
As a result, at the moment, it’s completely unclear whether sex in inZOI will be censored similarly to how it was done in The Sims series or if it will be some new approach.
Additionally, the game’s creators answered why ZOIs shower in towels rather than with pixelated censorship. Firstly, this approach suits games with more cartoonish graphics better, whereas in the case of a realistic style, such blurring ends up looking overly sexualized. Secondly, there was a bug related to this: if a naked ZOI with pixelated censorship approached a mirror, the blurring would not show up in the reflection.
In fact, all questions are answered if you look at the rating already assigned to the game by the relevant organizations: ESRB - T (for teens), and PEGI 12 is expected. These are the same ratings that were given to The Sims 4.
