Almost half a century ago, the Burger Wars started. Back then Burger King built an aggressive and creative marketing campaign against bigger fast food chain McDonald's. One of the most clever features of the Burger Wars was usage of ad space near the competitor restaurant and making yourselves noticeable.
MrBeast and his Beast Games decided to go for a somewhat similar strategy. This time, the battlefield is social media, and you can remind of yourself with one simple reply. The biggest youtuber decided to use the fact that the new episode of his show was released on the same day as the second season of the Squid Game. That's why he sent three replies to the official Netflix account on X (ex-Twitter).
There was nothing aggressive in these replies, though. Just a friendly reminder about his show on Amazon Prime Video. While MrBeast is a big media machine himself, he is still nowhere as big as Netflix. So this strategy is cheap, perhaps, working well, even though some people don't understand it and think of it as a desperate measure. However, the final winner will be declared by numbers, and we should wait for analytics.
