The WESG is a Multi game tournament with arguably the largest scope in terms of countries represented. Other than Dota2 the other games are Starcraft 2, Hearthstone, CS:GO.

The Qualifiers will take place starting from October across the globe to decide the final teams that are going to compete in China for the total prize pool of $1,500,000 (USD) at the main event.

Prior to the main qualifiers of each region, there will be online open qualifiers that determines the competitors playing in the main regionals.

A part of the prize pool will be offered on the LAN-finals of regional qualifiers: $202,800 for Americas and $279,800 for Europe.
