Challengers Korea is the second tier of competition in South Korean LoL esport, directly seeding into League of Legends Champions Korea, the country's premier LoL league. This is the first split of 2018 with Ever8 Winners returning after their split in the LCK as Kongdoo Monsters moved up to the LCK and CJ Entus forfeiting their seed in Challengers Korea.
Like most LoL leagues, Challengers Korea is split into three stages with qualification, regular season, and playoffs. The two strongest teams at the end of the season qualify for the 2018 LCK Spring Promotions tournament, with a shot to take their place in the world's best league.
