The League of Legends Japan League is the premier tournament of Japan and this is the first season of 2018, the league will feature 6 teams as they compete for the Japanese Mid Season Invitational Play-in seed.

The teams competing in the league is the 4 top teams of the previous season as well as the two teams that come out of the promotion tournament.

Two best-of-five matches, the winner of each match will qualify for the regular season.

The highest seed of 2017 LJL Summer chooses their opponents out of the two challenger teams.

Regular season

Double round robin with best-of-three matches.

Top 3 moves on to playoffs aswell as qualifying for 2018 LJL Summer

4th place qualifies for 2018 LJL Summer.

Bottom two will go to 2018 LJL Summer promotion tournament to defend their spot.

Best-of-five matches with the winner of the regular season waiting in the finals.
