Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 just pulled off something rare for a single-player game. On Sunday, May 4, the game hit a new peak on Steam ā 145,063 concurrent players. Thatās not just a good number; it actually beat its launch weekend high, which usually doesnāt happen with solo adventures like this.

Typically, single-player games see their biggest player counts during their first weekend. After that, the hype settles down and numbers start to dip. But Expedition 33 did the opposite, picking up steam (literally) in its second weekend and drawing in even more players.
Only a few other big titles have pulled this off ā like Baldurās Gate 3, Elden Ring, and Black Myth: Wukong. That puts Expedition 33 in pretty elite company.
Just three days after release, the developers at Sandfall Interactive announced over one million copies sold. Since then, they havenāt shared updated numbers, but with this second weekend boost, itās safe to say interest is still high.
