Marvel Rivals announced its big Spring Festival event. It will start this Thursday, and it will offer free Star-Lord costume as well as a special game mode. In Clash of Dancing Lions teams of three players will try to score a ball in the opponents' goal.

Although many will immediately connect this mode with Rocket League (and it is not hard to understand why), it brings more resemblance to Lucioball, the first special game mode in Overwatch (which is also based off Rocket League).

It is an interesting comparison, because right now Marvel Rivals seems to have surpassed Overwatch and needs to bring as much own content as possible to create a distinct face of the game and leave the Blizzard game behind. However, its first big event features arguably the same mode as the first Overwatch event. The only difference is that in Overwatch it revolved around the Olympic Games style, whereas in Marvel Rivals we have strong Chinese vibes.

The good thing is we don't have to wait long, as the Spring Festival will start very soon.
