In order to enhance the gameplay experience and boost the popularity of some characters, such as Storm and Black Widow, who were previously hardly played, NetEase Games made significant adjustments to the balance of Marvel Rivals' heroes in January, as Season 1 got underway.

After the updates, Storm has received significant boosts, which has dramatically increased her popularity and effectiveness. According to Rivals Meta, Storm is now ranked number one in win rate, which has been a dramatic jump from her previous position on the hero selection list.

In competitive mode, Storm's win percentage exceeds 56% and her pick rate has risen to 16%. Not so long ago she didn't even gain 1%, but now she's overtaking heroes like Adam Warlock, Jeff, Spider-Man, Hela, Hulk, Magic, Iron Man, and many others.

Despite this, the most popular character pairing of the first season remains Cloak and Dagger. But their win percentage has dropped below 49%. Black Widow remains the least sought after and least successful character in the game.

With hundreds of thousands of players enjoying the game, including its competitive mode, Marvel Rivals is currently experiencing growth. Only 0.1% of all players can claim the Grandmaster title, making it an exclusive achievement even though the Celestial rank exists.

It's not easy to reach such heights, but one player has accomplished something completely crazy. In the first season, this player advanced to Grandmaster without taking any damage in the 108 games they played! This player only concentrates on healing teammates while playing as Rocket Raccoon.

They restored over 2.9 million health points in those 108 matches! In addition, they recorded almost 3,500 assists while avoiding knockouts.
