The 2-year pause in the Southeast Asian Dota 2 scene is over, and Malaysia will welcome fans once more in the Arena of Stars, a moment to enjoy and fill that calmed atmosphere after Arlington Major. 

Dota 2 ESL One Malaysia is the first tournament after the second major of the competitive year, concluding in Arlington, US. One Malaysia 2022 will feature twelve teams going head to head for a total of $400,000 prize money. The 6-day tournament will start on August 23 and end on 28.Again, there will be 2 stages: group and playoffs stage. The first phase will feature best-of-2 matches, plus 2 matches in best-of-3. The latter will continue with the playoffs stage, where 7 matches will be in best-of-3 and the final match in best-of-5.
