After the release date for GTA 6 was pushed to May 26, 2026, Rockstar Games fans erupted in outrage, and the company’s stock began to fall. Yet, just three days later, the company unexpectedly released the second trailer for the game, sparking an internet explosion and reigniting discussions. Are you interested in dissecting the hidden details of the new installment in the franchise? So are we! Let’s take a closer look.

Detailing

The first thing we’d like to start with is, strangely enough, the detailing. Yes, you heard that right. We all remember the stunning graphics in GTA 5 that literally blew our minds. Well, the company has gone even further, surpassing itself and taking its creation to an entirely new level.

Despite the fact that the video itself creates the impression that it's just cutscenes, the company claims that it contains not only those but also in-game gameplay, which is truly impressive. Thanks to the lighting, the visuals pop with bright colors, and the world feels incredibly realistic. This is further enhanced by the surrounding details—such as birds soaring in the sky while the protagonists drive along the highway or the iguana that crawls around the main character’s house.

Speaking of graphics, we must also note the behavior of objects, such as the liquids showcased in the trailer. When the main character is carrying a box of beer, we see how the liquid splashes around inside the glass cans, which is quite impressive. The same effect is visible near the TV, where two bottles are shown: one is completely drunk, and the other is open—we can see tiny gas bubbles rising to the top.

Now, let's move on!

No More Empty Cities

If GTA 5 felt a bit empty, with NPCs being on the same level as in previous games, the developers have truly stepped up here. Not only will we be able to engage in various activities like lifting, running, and playing basketball, but we will also witness NPCs doing various jobs.

For example, at 0:35, if you pay attention to the surrounding area, you can spot a vehicle cleaning the streets: one NPC is mowing the grass, and another is sweeping the road. It seems that now the activities of ordinary people will resemble real-life routines. What exactly has been added, we’ll only find out next year after the game’s release.

Side Activities

As usual, GTA includes activities such as boat rides, including on a speedboat, metro rides where you can try your hand at being a train conductor, and flying a plane. However, in this project, it seems that the developers have decided to add even more. In the trailer, we see a basketball hoop, and according to leaks, we will not only be able to toss a ball but also play a full game of basketball.

By the way, the first shot appears to show the new city of Key West, and in the distance, there's a figure that looks like a blimp. It’s still unclear whether we’ll be able to ride it, but we couldn’t let this detail slip by unnoticed.

Is the Main Character a Cop

We finally learned the name of the main character—Jason. According to his tattoo, he once served in the U.S. military and was part of the Parachute Division, but that's not the most interesting part. When Jason arrives at the prison to see Lucia, the guard asks if he's ever been there before. This can only mean one thing: our main character might have worked as a cop in the prison or, perhaps, he himself was once incarcerated. Most likely, this mystery was intentionally crafted by Rockstar Games to fuel fan theories, and the truth will be revealed much later.

By the way, there’s also a fan theory suggesting that our main character could be a double agent, but for now, this is just speculation with no supporting evidence.

Back to Vice City

After 23 years, we’re returning to the roots—back to the beloved Vice City. But not just the city! The game developers made a special Easter egg reference in this part, featuring the main character and his girlfriend, who closely resemble another famous photograph. It’s a small but delightful detail in the new trailer that pays homage to the company’s past creation.

Let’s move on!

The Missing Boat from Michael’s Storyline is Found

Do you remember the missing boat from the Father/Son mission in the previous game? According to the new trailer, it’s been found! It’s parked right by Jason’s house. If you talk to him, be sure to mention the missing boat. We’re pretty sure he won’t just brush it off with a light tap.

The Mysterious Disappearance of Lucia’s Monitor

When Lucia is released from prison, we see a special ankle monitor on her for tracking purposes, indicating that she is still under police surveillance. The trailer also shows various social activities Lucia will need to complete, but that’s not the most important part. A few frames later, we see her without the monitor, which can only mean one of two things: either we get rid of it, or these frames are flashbacks from Lucia’s past life.

Banknotes

The last fun detail we picked out from the new trailer is the imagery on the banknotes. The faces shown on them belong to Franklin Hardin and Thaddeus Waxman, characters from Red Dead Redemption 2. Perhaps we’ll find more references to it in the game, but for now, let’s enjoy what we have.

GTA 6 contains many hidden details that may go unnoticed on the first or even second viewing. Only true fans can spot all the details and uncover the hidden meaning. What did you notice? Share with us in the comments!
