If you suddenly feel like your inZOI character is stuck in an apartment with wallpaper from 2007 and a view of noisy neighbors—it’s time to pack up and move. Moving in this game isn’t stressful—it’s pure pleasure: no boxes, dust, or forgotten belongings. I’ll show you how to quickly relocate without even leaving the life simulator, which already feels like a vacation.

How to Move to a New Home

So, you’ve decided you can’t go on like this, saved up some money, and are mentally ready to ditch your old dump. Here’s how to do it:

Open your character’s phone. Tap the phone icon (usually in the bottom UI) and select "City Map."

Choose a lot or house. On the map, find an empty lot or a ready-made home you’d like to move into. Houses come in different sizes and prices.

Click "Relocate here." When you select a house, the "Relocate" button (or similar) will appear. Confirm the move. Your character will automatically be transported to the new home.

Decide what to do with your furniture—you can sell it or take it with you. More on that in the next section.

After confirming, you’ll find yourself in your new home, and the cost will be deducted from your account. If you owned your previous home, its value will be added to your budget. Don’t forget to decorate your new place right away—empty walls don’t make anyone happy, not even in a simulator.

Managing Furniture During the Move

When selecting a new home, the game will ask what to do with your current furnishings. There are two options:

Keep and move the furniture. All your furniture and decor will be neatly packed and moved to your new home. A great choice if you’ve already invested in design and don’t want to start over.

Sell the furniture. If you want a complete style refresh or just aren’t attached to your old couches, choose the sell option. You’ll receive in-game currency (Meows) for each item, which you can spend on new decor.

Pro tip: If you’re moving to a differently sized home (e.g., a smaller one), it’s best to assess which furniture will actually fit to avoid cluttering your new space.

Can You Move into Occupied Properties?

Yes, you can move into any residential building or lot within your budget. Are there already tenants? They’ll be automatically evicted and won’t bother you. But if you care about where they end up (don’t worry, not on the street), you can relocate them beforehand via city edit mode:

Go to City Edit Mode.

Select the house on the map from which you want to remove the current residents.

In the property menu, use the "Move" button.

Choose a new home for them. Keep in mind it must be within their budget.

The only real limitation right now is you can’t move between cities. You can’t leave the location you chose at the start of the game—at least not until the December 2025 update.

Moving in inZOI is fast, flexible, and even a little therapeutic. Want a mansion by the park or a cozy downtown loft? No problem! The key is knowing where to click. Hopefully, this guide saved you time and unnecessary clicks.
