The Movie live event might be over now, but if you were lucky enough to dive into the chaos, you already know—it was kinda goofy in the best way.

So let’s take a cozy walk down memory lane and unpack everything we discovered during the wildest event.

Midport Mayhem: What’s the Deal?
From March 25 to April 14, Midport Village is under siege.
Image: ensigame.com
These are piglins, and they’re mean, organized, and apparently have a thing against peaceful settlements and llamas. The village is styled just like the one in the Minecraft Movie.

You spawn in the village square, and guess who’s waiting to greet you? Steve himself. Probably fresh from some heroic slow-motion movie sequence. He gives you the rundown, then off you go to complete three mini-games that honestly feel like deleted scenes from the movie.
Mining with Henry
Henry’s your classic resource-hungry survivalist. Think: rugged beard, endless enthusiasm for ore. Your job? Get into that mineshaft and mine like your life depends on it. (Because it kind of does.)

But don’t get too cozy. Hostile mobs are lurking in the tunnels, probably hoping to ruin your productivity. Very relatable. Keep your pickaxe ready and your nerves steeled.
And if you see a shiny ore vein that looks suspiciously cinematic? That might just be one of those movie easter eggs we’re all hunting for.
Protecting the Payloads with Natalie and Dawn
This one’s part tower defense, part llama babysitting sim. Natalie and Dawn are trying to move precious supplies across the battlefield pulled by adorable llamas, of course. And the piglins? Oh, they hate llamas.

Your job is to fend off waves of piglins and make sure those payloads get through. Keep your eyes peeled for suspicious symbols on the carriages—they might hint at locations or items from the movie.

Defending the Walls with Garrett
Piglins are coming through Nether portals now, which is just... rude. You and Garrett man the walls and shoot back. Simple. Classic. Extremely intense.
Image: ensigame.com
And yes, the portals look very familiar. Could they be tied to the big Nether sequence teased in the movie? You bet. There’s even a moment where the sky turns this eerie shade of red—like a scene straight out of a final battle.
So... What’s the Lore?
This whole event feels like a movie prequel, right? It’s like we’re playing through the first act before Steve and friends ride in on a giant minecart to save the day.

We’re learning what Midport Village is, why the piglins are so aggressive, and getting our first peek into how the Minecraft world connects to this new cinematic universe.
Oh, and Steve’s yearning for the mines? That’s no small detail. The Yearn cape you can earn is literally inspired by this emotional thread.
The Goodies
There are several capes you can get:
The Yearn Cape

Complete five challenges during the event and you’ll earn this moody, mineshaft-inspired beauty. Available in both Bedrock and Java.
The Home and Menace Capes

Watch your favorite Minecraft creator on Twitch or TikTok for just 3 minutes. That’s literally one trip to the fridge. Then redeem a code and boom—you got it.
Easter Eggs You Might’ve Missed
Lava Chicken Speed Boost
Tucked away behind the fountain at spawn, this spicy bird isn’t just there for laughs. Once activated, it gives you a temporary speed boost, leaving a literal trail of fire behind you.

⭐️ Bonus: the chicken clucks angrily when you stop moving.
Buck Chets Parkour Challenge
To reach the Buck Chets boots, you had to conquer a tricky parkour course winding up a mushroom building in Town B. It’s hidden, it’s vertical, and it’s totally worth it.

Once equipped, the boots gave you knockback kicks and a stun effect that left piglins wobbling like they just stepped off a boat.
Cactus Balls Trap Mechanism
Deep inside the mine, accessible via the elevator to level one, there’s a wall panel with a suspicious lever. Pull it, and you’ll be met by Cactus Balls.

These little spiky wonders roll out onto the path, damaging enemies and knocking them back. They also auto-replenish, which makes them perfect for holding choke points or just turning the mine into a cactus-themed hazard course.
Saxophone Knockback Power
Climb to the top of the bell tower, and you’ll find the Saxophone.
Image: ensigame.com
This item lets you blast enemies backward with the power of music. It had me channeling my inner bard, using jazzy knockback bursts to launch piglins off ledges like I was headlining a battle concert.
Tot Launcher Potato Gun
Tucked in a pit by the outer wall staircase, you’ll find a dusty crate containing the Tot Launcher—a handheld potato cannon that fires… well, potatoes.
Image: ensigame.com
It’s not the strongest weapon, but it makes the piglins pause and adds some much-needed chaos to a battle.
Battle Axe Lift Attack
In the wilderness near one of the payload tracks the battle axe can be found.
Image: ensigame.com
It comes with a lift attack that yeets enemies straight into the air like popcorn. If you’ve ever wanted to see a piglin do an unplanned aerial stunt, this is your moment.
Whether you’re there for the loot, the lore, or just to slap enemies with a sword alongside your besties, Midport Village is a brilliant mix of gameplay, storytelling, and good old-fashioned community chaos.
