On July 9, Dota 2 celebrated eleven years since its official release. Unsurprisingly, Valve decided to release the third act of the big Crownfall event on the very same day.

What awaits us in Act 3? Generally, all the same stuff. We keep following the story of Shendelzare, the Vengeful Spirit, and Dragonus, the Skywrath Mage. You keep playing Dota 2 games, earn tokens and use them to clear obstacles. To some it may remind of Invasion mode in Mortal Kombat 1.

But this is the main feature of the whole event since act 1. What is new? First of all, a Collector's Cache is available for purchase. Sixteen highest-voted sets from the community has made it, and most of them look stunning! Second of all, now we have a fighting game inside Dota 2!

Valve threw a playful punch at Riot Games. While 2XKO is in development, people couldn't try it outside of big FGC events, Valve made a funny game inside a game called Sleet Fighter where five Dota 2 characters fight each other. Considering there are only seven confirmed characters in 2XKO (Braum was announced earlier today), there is no big difference.

Finally, Dota 2 devs announced that the Crownfall event will be extended. Now it is scheduled to end on October 16. Great news as Dota 2 fans will have more time to enjoy the event!
