CD Projekt Red (CDPR) has officially announced Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition for the Nintendo Switch 2. Set to release on June 5, the game will retail for $69.99. The 64 GB cartridge includes both the base campaign and the expansion Phantom Liberty . Notably, no additional downloads will be required for the core experience.
The developers confirmed that the game will run at 720p in portable mode and 1080p in docked mode, with frame rates ranging from 30 to 40 FPS depending on whether players choose the "Quality" or "Performance" mode. Additionally, Cyberpunk 2077 will support cross-save functionality across all platforms, ensuring a seamless transition for players who already own the game on other systems.
This isn’t just a simple port; the game has been tailored to take full advantage of the Switch 2’s unique features. Players can expect support for the gyroscope, motion controls, touch screen, and even a mouse-like functionality. Customizable control schemes and the ability to switch between modes further enhance the experience.
According to Adam Badowski, head of CDPR, the Switch 2 version offers “more freedom” and allows players to “truly become a legend of Night City.”
Additional language packs will be available for download via the eShop. The game will launch in both digital and physical formats, making it accessible to a wide audience. With these enhancements, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition aims to deliver an optimized and immersive experience on Nintendo’s latest console.
