Polish studio Sonka has announced a summer Kickstarter campaign for their psychological horror game. The raised funds will be allocated to final development stages and implementation of additional gameplay mechanics.

The announcement coincides with the release of an extended trailer showcasing:

  • The gloomy aesthetic of a 1990s provincial town
  • An impressive arsenal (from pistols and Molotov cocktails to sniper rifles and UZIs)
  • A dynamic combat system with survival horror elements

The footage was made possible by their proprietary 2XD Rendering technology which:

  • Creates detailed pixel-art scenes with cinematic lighting
  • Enables instant perspective switching between isometric and 1st/3rd person views

The project draws inspiration from genre classics - the atmosphere of Silent Hill, gameplay mechanics from Resident Evil, and the surreal aesthetics of "Twin Peaks".

The exact launch date remains unknown.
