Cheating... cheating never changes. However, in most cases, even if someone is caught cheating in esports, it rarely results in anything more than a premature career ending.

We can remember the Indian player Forsaken and his word.exe cheat during a Counter-Strike tournament, caught red-handed. We can recall the case of KQLY, whose career was cut short even though he was already well-known, but when it comes to someone who hasn't yet made it to the top, what can you really do to them?

Epic Games gave a masterclass in this regard. The Australian player Repulse, who was caught cheating in 2023, was forced to return the money he earned through cheating through legal means and also release an apology video. Epic Games then donated the money to charity.

I have long been a consistent critic of the esports system in Fortnite, but in this particular case, I can't find anything to criticize. Bravo, Epic Games!
