Players could learn every named place and landmark on Fortnite's map, practice accuracy with friends, or hone their building skills in Playground mode, which was essentially an empty Battle Royale island with unique rules. It eventually evolved into Fortnite Creative, an entirely customizable game. Using an Unreal Engine tool, Epic Games has gone one step further and introduced Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), enabling content producers to produce and release their unique concepts. Additionally, fans can make maps using Fall Guys, Rocket Racing, and LEGO Fortnite assets, so these more sophisticated Creative islands aren't limited to the typical Fortnite characters and items found in Battle Royale.
Regardless of whether they like SpongeBob SquarePants or not, players will want to check out these islands because they have a distinctive setting in addition to entertaining Fortnite games and features. Players will be able to visit their favorite places and structures, interact with well-known SpongeBob characters, and use weapons with a SpongeBob theme.
Some fans are hoping that this crossover will pave the way for more significant developments, like SpongeBob SquarePants characters arriving in Fortnite or cosmetics with SpongeBob themes being offered in the Item Shop. In the crossover trailer, SpongeBob promoted Fishstick, indicating that everyone's favorite yellow sponge will undoubtedly appear in the game.
