More than two weeks after Epic Games secured a legal win against Apple, Fortnite has yet to reappear in the App Store. The court ruling on May 1 allowed developers to implement alternative payment systems in their apps, bypassing Apple’s infrastructure. Epic Games quickly declared that this would open the door for Fortnite’s return.

Fortnite was originally removed from the App Store when Epic introduced its own payment method, violating Apple’s terms. Now that the court ruling permits such functionality, Epic submitted a new Fortnite version to Apple for review back on May 9. Since then, there has been complete silence from Apple, with no updates provided.
On May 14, Epic reached out to Apple for clarification, but the tech giant offered no response. According to Tim Sweeney, Epic has now withdrawn the initial submission and sent an updated version featuring the latest content patch. However, this updated build remains under review, with no confirmation from Apple.
Apple’s official documentation notes that 90% of apps are reviewed within 24 hours. Fortnite, it seems, has fallen into the other 10%. Sweeney has not revealed what actions Epic plans to take if the delay continues and Apple maintains its silence.
