Games often include a benchmark tool that allows players to test system performance with specific settings, but the developers of Black Myth: Wukong have taken it a step further by releasing a standalone tool on Steam.
It allows users to adjust settings to see how they affect visuals and performance, although it doesn’t permit control of the character during the test.
The developers noted that because some scenarios might be very complicated, the overall results might not fully reflect the actual in-game performance. Yet it will help to understand the overall capability of players' hardware.
Within just a few hours, the tool attracted 85,000 concurrent users. This number indicates a high level of interest in the upcoming release, but there are other indicators as well.
Black Myth: Wukong holds the top spot in the ranking of most wishlisted games on Steam. It has been in the top of Steam's revenue charts for several weeks due to pre-orders, and in the last two weeks, it has even led among all paid titles.
