Game Science studio has unveiled a new trailer for their AAA RPG, Black Myth: Wukong, showcasing cutscenes and gameplay. The trailer reveals a universe brimming with supernatural beings and magic, featuring giant spiders and glowing crimson portals. Danger lurks everywhere, on land and in the sky, as the protagonist encounters threats from all sides. The footage even showcased flying monsters.

The new trailer presents Black Myth: Wukong as reminiscent of Elden Ring with elements of a slasher. Players can expect challenging bosses, an engaging storyline, and epic battles. The gameplay trailer has been well-received, garnering positive reactions and enthusiastic comments.

Black Myth: Wukong was initially announced in August 2020. The story draws inspiration from the medieval Chinese novel "Journey to the West", which narrates the pilgrimage of the Buddhist monk Xuanzang from China to India in pursuit of sacred Buddhist scriptures. He is accompanied by three supernatural beings: the Monkey King Sun Wukong, the monk Zhu Bajie, and the monk Sha Wujing, who protect him from various perils.

Born from a stone, the Monkey King possesses incredible strength and abilities. Initially rebellious against the heavens, he eventually joins Xuanzang to atone for his past transgressions. Along their journey, the heroes encounter demons and malevolent forces seeking to thwart their pilgrimage. The entire expedition spans 14 years.

The release of this highly anticipated AAA RPG is scheduled for August 20, 2024, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles.
