While more and more players are moving onto the latest generation of consoles and keep upgrading their computers, those who haven't done it yet can still bring money. At least, it seems that Activision thinks this way.

Tom Henderson reported that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will also be playable on past generation consoles, such as PS4 and Xbox One. He learned this from his sources after a photo appeared online showing that the retail chain GameStop is preparing to take pre-orders for the previous generation consoles.

The shooter is scheduled for release at the end of 2024. Thus, it will be launched on devices that are eleven years old.

The journalist also stated that in the future, the game will be released on the yet-to-be-announced successor to the Switch, which is expected to be unveiled by the end of March 2025. The port will be released as part of an agreement between Microsoft and Nintendo.

A full reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will take place on June 9.
