It may surprise a lot of people, but Deadlock received a Halloween update. It contains several changes to the appearance of crates, heroes and creeps, but for a game that's been out only for several months and is still in very deep closed beta, that is more than expected, especially considering that Counter-Strike 2 is yet to receive any seasonal update.
So what changed? The big building on the North-West of the map, the Baroness Hotel, is now more spooky. There are also several additional background sounds that include howling of a wolf.
All heroes now wear one of four masks, and heads of neutral creeps, as well as crates, became jack-o-lanterns. When you break the latter, additional spooky sounds appear. Other than that, nothing serious has been found.
This update is not going to change the Deadlock meta, or heavily improve game performance on weak PCs, but it is a small and pleasant gesture from the developers. This update is not big, so it didn't have a separate thread on Deadlock forums. Yet, it enriches the gaming experience.
