Grant Major, the art director of "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, will work on the Minecraft adaptation. According to the film's director, Jared Hess, the production team is trying to avoid negative reception from the Minecraft fan base, as happened with the first trailer of "Sonic the Hedgehog", where the public harshly criticized the appearance of the main character.
The list of writers and producers includes top managers from the Swedish studio Mojang, which developed Minecraft.
It has also been revealed that American actress Jennifer Coolidge has joined the cast of the Minecraft adaptation. She will play one of the roles in the upcoming film.
