Players will now be able to not just tether individual creatures as before, but also create complex chains of multiple mobs or attach them to various in-game objects.

As explained in the official blog, the innovation will unlock unexpected gameplay possibilities. For example, players will be able to organize entire caravans of tethered llamas for transporting goods or use leashes to create "balloons" from ghosts.

Although the classic mechanic of leashing mobs to fences has existed for a long time, the update fundamentally changes how the system works:

  • The process of adding and removing leashes has been simplified
  • Freeing a specific creature from a group now only requires shears
  • Important note: new features don't work with other players

The exact release date for the full update has not yet been revealed.
