Holiday break is over, so why don't we get back to some big announcements in the gaming world? No, we're not currently talking about Nintendo Switch 2, although we eagerly await news. Instead, we've got updates about one of the fan favorites. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio held a presentation, where they showcased gameplay for Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii and shared some details.
The video demonstrated ship customization options, open sea exploration, naval battles, mini-games, and locations that players will be able to explore. Goro Majima will have two combat styles: one focused on speed and maneuverability, and the other emphasizing the use of short swords and pirate gear.
Players will be able to recruit unique allies to their sea crew, who will assist in battles, world exploration, and treasure hunting. During gameplay, players will be able to discover hidden islands and original side quests.
At the end of the presentation, the developers announced that the "New Game+" mode in their upcoming release will be free. However, it won't be available instantly, as it will be added with a post-release patch. In Infinite Wealth, a similar mode was only available in the more expensive edition, which led to criticism of SEGA. Great news, and we'll have to wait only about one and a half months till the official release.
