For more than a year we've heard nothing from Rockstar Games about GTA 6. No trailers, no announcements, nothing. Two questions arise: when and why? When will we have an official release date or a new trailer? While that question is not going to be answered soon, CEO of Take-Two, Strauss Zelnick, explained why we're starving for new information.

The executive appeared on Bloomberg’s Wall Street Week, and of course he was asked about marketing campaigns. Zelnick stated that anticipation for GTA VI has reached unprecedented levels, and not only in the gaming industry but entertainment as a whole. He explained that Take-Two decided it’s best to publish marketing stuff close to the launch window—striking a balance between building hype and managing expectations.

As of now, the most anticipated game of the century is expected to release in about half a year. If we see new stuff soon, that means everything goes according to the plan, and there will be no delays. If not... well, what can we do about it?
