If something becomes very popular in a short period of time, it may also become a subject for criminals. Hamster Kombat has millions of players, and not all of them have enough knowledge to keep their data safe.
Scammers have started to massively hack Telegram accounts of players in the popular "tapper" game. The scheme is simple: scammers send users links to a phishing resource for service authorization. Through it, they allegedly can withdraw coins and convert them into real money. However, to do this, users need to log in to Telegram by entering their account credentials on the opened page. In reality, this allows attackers to steal access to personal accounts in the messenger.

According to cybersecurity experts, in the first half of 2024, the number of attempts to access phishing resources imitating Telegram increased by almost 22% compared to the same period last year.
Remember, there are lots of people who want to steal your data, get access to your accounts and do other malicious things. Always stay alert and think twice before doing anything suspicious.
