Riot Games continues to release regular updates for VALORANT. However, when you're hosting a world championship, you won’t make any major changes. For this reason, Update 9.03 features changes that are minor in terms of balance but significant in terms of enhancing the gameplay experience.
Firstly, abilities that spread across the ground now do so more consistently. Players no longer need to worry as much about whether Brimstone's Incendiary will hit them or not.
Secondly, for several agents, there’s no longer a need to switch between two cameras to use pings. Previously, with agents like Brimstone, you had to open one map to deploy smoke and use a different map for pings. This change reduces unnecessary key presses, saving time and effort. Like!
Thirdly, Sage's ice wall will now be displayed on the radar when deployed. This is crucial as it allows for more precise wall placement, preventing unnecessary gaps.
For console players, another change is the addition of Pearl to the non-ranked map rotation. More variety never hurts.
This patch is quite intermediate. We’re looking forward to bigger announcements during the VALORANT Champions playoffs.
