What is Path of Exile 2 about?

In short, it is a modern representative of the ARPG genre, specifically a Diablo-like game that has taken a lot from both the first part (if you played PoE1, you can skip to the next paragraph) and from its progenitor — Diablo II. It was the second, not the third or, God forbid, fourth Diablo, that inspired the developers of PoE2.

Extensive labyrinthine locations, a sea of enemies, formidable bosses, and, of course, an impressive variety of classes, skills, and ways to level up heroes. In this game, you are given complete freedom to develop your characters, allowing you to create hundreds of different builds and enjoy studying the game for hundreds of hours. As the cherry on top—the dark fantasy atmosphere that Diablo series fans have been longing for.

The second part of Path of Exile is better than its predecessor in many aspects. More convenient and user-friendly controls, an expanded field for experimentation with leveling, a prolonged story campaign, and much more. Not to mention the stunning modern graphics—the game looks simply excellent.

How much does PoE2 cost?

Like the first part, Path of Exile 2 is designed as a free-to-play game with microtransactions. However, to join the game in early access, you will need to purchase one of the editions. The Early Access Supporter Pack for $30 includes access to the game plus 300 premium currency units. The Lord of Ogham Supporter Pack for $30 costs twice as much but offers much better bonuses!

In addition to 600 coins, you receive armor, a shoulder decoration, a portal, a weapon skin, two pets, a hideout decoration, a portrait frame, and even a title on the game's forum. Should you pay or wait for the free release?

First, the release date of PoE2 is still shrouded in mystery. Rumor has it that the full release of the game can be expected next year, but considering all the plans and ambitions of GGG, it's hard to believe it.
