Arena Breakout offers players a wide selection of different firearms. Here you will find assault rifles, submachine guns, carbines, shotguns, and much more.
In this article, we will break down the best weapon options for you. But remember, there is no universal choice, and the best one is the one that suits you personally.
Weapon types and objectives
Before talking about the weapon rating, it's worth considering what objectives you are preparing your build for. When you go on a raid, you may have various goals: looting houses, killing PMCs or "Scavs", long-range play, or CQB. Based on this, you should choose your weapon wisely.
You also need to consider your budget and skills. Don’t forget that heading into high-difficulty zones with the prospect of finding good loot requires proper preparation. But if you have little money left, don’t spend on expensive weapons and multiple mods for them. After all, no one is immune to a stray bullet five minutes after spawn.
With that in mind, you need to understand the raid objectives and evaluate your abilities wisely. Additionally, don’t take a sniper rifle if you're going to loot houses, no matter how much you like that type of weapon. Always prepare for a raid wisely!
Selection criteria
In this list, we rated various weapons based on their convenience, versatility, and other characteristics. It’s worth noting that if a weapon deals massive damage but has terrible recoil, it’s probably not suitable for a first raid.
However, personal experience and skills can turn even a stock Mosin rifle into an ultimate killing machine in your hands. Therefore, this top list serves as guidance, not strict recommendations!
HK416
One of the most versatile choices for players of all levels. The HK416 is suitable for both veterans and beginners. Thanks to its low recoil, good damage, and flexibility in modifications, the weapon performs excellently in the hands of any player.
Another advantage of the HK416 is its basic characteristics. The weapon is suitable for both medium and close-range combat. Yes, turning it into a marksman rifle may be challenging, but with a good sight, you still have the ability to hit targets at long distances.
AK-74N
A classic of Soviet weapon manufacturing. Cheap and cheerful – this is how you can describe the AK-74N. Like the HK, this variant of the rifle is suitable for most players, though it has increased recoil. But this is compensated by high damage and good ergonomics, making it quite pleasant to use.
Another incomparable plus of the AK is the availability of its ammunition. Yes, good rounds will still have to be bought, but during a raid, you definitely won’t be left "empty-handed" due to the widespread availability of its ammo type.
M4A1
The NATO rifle is not one of the cheapest on the market, but it is still one of the most balanced in the game. The flexibility of the platform and its design, which absorbs almost all recoil, make it a versatile choice at all stages of the game.
Moreover, the M4 can easily be converted into either a light machine gun or a marksman rifle. Its small size and modularity allow you to take it on various raids. It’s easy to clear rooms with it or engage enemies at long range.
MPX
This submachine gun is perfect for those who don’t like to sit in bushes and prefer CQB. The MPX combines excellent rate of fire, build variability, and low recoil. Its compact size and rate of fire make the SMG versatile, and considering its price, it’s an excellent choice for a budget setup for a quick raid.
Another advantage of the MPX is that it can be used as a "secondary" weapon in tough raids. If you’re carrying something heavy and long-range, but still need to clear a few houses, it’s hard to find a better choice for room clearing than the MPX.
FN SCAR-H
Although the SCAR belongs to the class of assault rifles, many use it for long-range engagements. It's all about the weapon’s damage and accuracy. While it cannot be considered budget-friendly, its gameplay doesn’t encourage active and aggressive actions. By getting the SCAR, you guarantee yourself safety in open areas at long range.
An additional advantage is the modular platform. The SCAR is a bit demanding on attachments, but once the build is complete, you’ll have an extremely convenient setup with excellent damage, capable of eliminating targets at decent distances, even through high-quality armor.
UMP-45
HK submachine guns have long won the love of gamers in many projects. It so happened that developers of shooters from various genres always give these guns excellent characteristics, and the UMP-45 in Arena Breakout is no exception.
Equipping a silencer and a reflex sight will turn your UMP-45 into a real special forces weapon. And although it’s a submachine gun, we recommend firing in single shots. This way, you will achieve maximum accuracy, and if desired, you can suppress enemies with frequent LMB clicks.
Mosin-Nagant
The good old Mosin rifle. This legendary weapon, serving for over a century and having been in dozens of conflicts, remains relevant to this day. It's the ideal choice for a sniper who wants to go on a raid with minimal investment, make a few long-range kills, loot, and exit.
The Mosin rifle can be completely transformed by changing the handguard, magazine, and adding a good scope. In such a configuration, it rivals top-tier sniper rifles. And if your budget doesn't allow for many mods, you still have a lethal weapon for long and medium distances in your hands.
AKS-74U
One of the best options for a budget build but for close-range combat. If you need to quickly run through houses but don’t want to risk and invest a lot of money in an SMG build, then the AKS-74U is your choice.
Besides its excellent rate of fire, foldable stock, the abundance of ammunition, and many other advantages, the AKS is also a good "secondary". Compared to lightweight SMGs, this gun can practically replace a full-fledged rifle. And this is very important, especially when you have a bolt-action in your primary weapon slot.
P90
The classic P90 is a great backup for those who don’t like heavy guns but prefer to have a large ammo capacity. This submachine gun will be the best backup option in difficult raids. Its key advantage is, of course, its large magazine. You don’t even need to carry an extra one, just bring a box of loose rounds and reload as needed.
The P90 is an excellent "last resort" weapon when in close combat, and you have no choice but to go "all-in". But you can also take it on budget runs when you don't want to spend much on attachments and just roam through buildings with an advantage over groups of enemies.
Attachments
Let's remind you that you should never underestimate attachments. A good example is the Mosin rifle mentioned above. Even from the most basic gun, you can make a true killing machine. Reflex sights and silencers are, of course, great. But try extended barrels on submachine guns, and you’ll immediately feel the difference.
Stocks and grips are also very important. They improve ergonomics and allow you to control recoil more easily, which in unexpected encounters can become a decisive factor. The same goes for magazines. You don’t necessarily need to carry 4–5 magazines with 60 rounds each for the AK, but having at least one is still desirable.
But don't overdo the upgrades. Sometimes, the attachments for budget weapons cost more than a scope and silencer for a more expensive gun. Economy is just as important in Arena Breakout as the ability to aim precisely at enemy models.
Backup Weapon
Players often go on raids with just their primary weapon. But for sniper rifle enthusiasts, it’s worth considering getting even a stock submachine gun as a "secondary". It can truly save your life, even if you spend the entire run in the woods.
And don't forget about pistols. Fortunately, the game provides a separate slot for this type of weapon. After all, it's better to fire ten small-caliber rounds at the enemy than to try to reload your rifle in a hurry or target someone at half a meter with a 7x scope.
