Despite the brief pre-alpha footage, Electronic Arts has finally pleased Battlefield fans worldwide with a sneak peek at the game that is currently under development. The upcoming release, which the community has dubbed Battlefield 6, will showcase the work of multiple top studios and could mark a sea change for the series. Take a seat back and unwind while we examine these initial moments of the new Battlefield game to see what we can discover.
Battlefield 6 unveiled
Fans are already praising Battlefield 6 on social media during its pre-alpha, if that's what it's called. The game looks amazing at first glance, and following the disastrous Battlefield 2042 release, it might be a comeback for an epic shooter. This is the entire video:
Where does the new Battlefield game's action take place?
A map of the Middle East can be seen in the pre-alpha gameplay video. It can be identified by its trees and architecture, as well as by the Arabic-inscriptions on the signs and storefront windows. For Battlefield games, particularly the more recent ones like Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4, it is a standard theater of war.
In the new Battlefield game, who is the enemy?
The enemies appear to be well-trained, well-armed soldiers, but we are unable to see them. They seem to be dressed similarly to the friendly soldiers fighting alongside the player character and are wearing armor. Since we are unable to hear their speech, it is nearly impossible to determine the enemy's location in this game. Based on the voices, weapons, and tanks seen in the video, we can be certain that the player's faction is American.
Does the new Battlefield game feature destruction?
There is a lot of destruction in this new pre-alpha video for the upcoming Battlefield game, which may be Battlefield 6. A player character fires an RPG at a building in one frame, causing a spectacular explosion and shockwave that defaces the building's facade. The building appears to collapse into two pieces at the end of the clip, which may indicate that we will once more be able to demolish entire structures.
Will there be customization or a class system in the upcoming Battlefield game?
Another part of the Battlefield gameplay clip shows that while there are a lot of soldiers fighting, there isn't much difference between them. One soldier is seen running around wearing what appears to be a half-mask, which could mean that he has been customized or is a scout-type character. Notably, he does not use a Marksman rifle or any type of sniper. The only weapon that appears to be in use, aside from the RPG at the end of the clip, is an M4 assault rifle.
What is Battlefield Labs?
Battlefield Labs is a new platform for testing the next game in the series. The developers want to create the sixth part together with the community. Testing will help to determine which mechanics are worth refining and which ones should be removed.
About the project, the creators of the franchise told in the promotional material. On the video you can also see a piece of gameplay from the pre-alpha version.

The new Battlefield is now at a key stage of development. The alpha version will feature Capture and Breakout modes. First, gamers will test battles and the destructibility of the environment. Then, the balance of weapons, gadgets and vehicles.
