How to Apply to University in inZOI

InZOI has borrowed several key mechanics from The Sims. University education is one of them. While the game does not require your character to attend university as a mandatory step before starting their career, this stage can still be quite enjoyable, especially if you want to roleplay as a nerd or a future professor.

How the Education System Works in inZOI

Remember, the title is in early access, so players are presented with a simplified higher education system. Here, it is more basic compared to The Sims 4.

Admission Requirements

University admission is only available to Zoi in the "Young Adult" age category. Children and teenagers automatically attend school, but university attendance is optional.

Choose one of the three available majors:

Currently, there are no entrance exams or tuition fees. Admission happens instantly, with no waiting. After submitting the application, the character will receive an SMS confirmation, and their schedule will be updated. 

How the Education Process Works

Three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) from 9 AM to 5 PM are reserved for classes. During this time, the Zoi will automatically go to university. You will not be able to control them during these hours.

The more actively you participate in the educational process, the better the results of your character will be. But don’t forget to keep an eye on their needs—if the Zoi is tired, they will learn less effectively.

The main factor affecting your character's grades is the regular completion of academic tasks. After each day of classes, the character will receive two mandatory assignments. You have a limited amount of time to complete them (3-4 in-game hours).

The tasks are generated automatically at the end of each school day, and you will need a PC or books to complete them. It’s very important to choose the right study materials. Successfully completing these tasks directly impacts learning.

Image: youtube.com You can track your current academic performance in the "Education" section of the smartphone. Missing deadlines or skipping assignments will automatically lower academic performance. After graduation, a diploma entry will appear in the profile.

At this stage, the diploma does not affect career opportunities—all jobs are available without it. While the Zoi's study schedule creates the illusion of choice and the ability to combine study with work, in practice, this is not possible.

How to Drop Out of University

You should only drop out in extreme cases (e.g., for urgent employment), as reapplying will start the process from scratch. All current academic achievements will be canceled. If you want to start studying again, your Zoi will be "reset" to the early days of their education. Therefore, it is recommended to finish the education completely, or else this result will not be saved in the character’s statistics.

Currently, the university in inZOI serves more of a decorative role, but in the future, we may see some interesting changes. For example, tuition fees and a competitive admission process, which would align with the harsh reality. Additionally, the diploma will be directly linked to career advancement, along with an expanded list of specialties. 

Although the education system is not yet very expansive, it adds realism to the game and can be useful for gamers who want to roleplay as a future scholar. Keep an eye on updates—the developers promise to refine and deepen these mechanics.
