Esports in inZOI is a full-fledged career path that lets your character rise from a beginner gamer to a professional esports athlete. While some mechanics are still in development, players can already get a taste of what it’s like to juggle virtual tournaments with daily Zoi life.
What’s Required

Your character must live in Dowon—becoming an esports athlete is only possible there. This career path is available to young, adult, and mature Zoi. Your character can only have one job, as esports requires full-time commitment and dedication.
How to Start a Career
Once your Zoi becomes an adult or decides to change careers, open their phone and go to the "Professions" section. There, select DG Esports—the organization that trains virtual esports players.
Submit an application, and if your character meets the requirements, they’ll get the opportunity to start a career in the gaming industry. After joining the academy, your character will receive a training schedule (three times a week). To perform well, it’s important to:
- Get enough sleep. Tired Zoi plays worse;
- Don’t skip meals. Hunger affects concentration;
- Be on time for training. Missing sessions slows progress;
- Don’t skip workdays. Each missed session delays advancement;
- Don’t leave early. Leaving a session prematurely doesn't count.

When training time arrives, a notification will appear. Confirm the action by selecting "Go to work" and your character will head out to sharpen their skills.
You can track their progress in the "Careers" section on the in-game smartphone.
How Does It Work

Click the briefcase icon in the top-right corner to open a menu with various options—though most currently don’t impact gameplay. The only active option is "Leave Early".
Available activities include:
- Participating in a guild raid;
- Starting a game stream;
- Reading patch notes;
- Earning achievements.
How Does Career Progression Work

Despite the limited mechanics, important moments occasionally arise that require decision-making. For example:
- Fight to the end in a hopeless match (1 vs. 5), risking your Zoi’s mental state but with a chance to win;
- Surrender, preserving your character’s mental health but losing ranking points;
- These situations add a strategic layer, requiring players to balance ambition with character resources.
Currently, the esports path is divided into three stages:
- Beginner Player – 264 Meow;
- Pro Gamer – 864 Meow;
- Arena Icon – 1998 Meow.
Useful Tips

Even with the current mechanics, it’s a good idea to level up your career skills to be ready for upcoming gameplay features.
To make the experience more engaging, players are encouraged to create a team of five characters—future esports athletes who share the same virtual space, similar to how real esports teams live and train together.
Your character will be more efficient in this career path if you choose the Go-Getter, Perfectionist, and Leader traits. These, combined with the tips above, will help them progress faster.
If your Zoi dreams of becoming an esports legend—stay on schedule, don’t miss training sessions, and be ready for unexpected in-game challenges. Who knows—maybe your character will become the next champion of the virtual arena!
